JP300 3D Camera Module Introduction:

Deptrum® Aurora 300 is one of Deptrum’s depth camera series that utilize 3D structured light to obtain 3- dimensional information of target objects. It combines the depth data captured together with RGB image information, and thus bringing consumers with effective 3D sensing capabilities. Aiming to achieve better price/performance ratio, Aurora 300 completes depth reconstruction by using extremely optimized depth algorithms on an embedded processor. Since there is no need of an extra ASIC chip, hardware costs of the end product can be effectively lowered.

 

​JP300 3D Camera Module System Requirements:

  • In order to reach an ideal frame rate, there is a minimum computing ability requirement of the platforms.
  • Reference Depth frame rate on some platforms: A72x2@2.0GHz: 400x640@30fps (RK3399) A53x4@1.8GHz: 400x640@20fps (NXP i.MX8 mini)
  • For those with week back-end computing power, we would recommend Deptrum® Aurora 500 that has enough computing capabilities at the camera’s front-end without relying on the back-end platform. AI applications can also be transplanted on Aurora 500.
